I am liking white dove. The walls in this photo are Spanish White and the moldings and trim are white dove by BM.

Thoughts?

As you know, the colors on his walls are likely to look very different depending on direction of the sun, placement and number of windows and the ceiling height and floor color. Can he try a couple of shades of white? To me, the white dove in the posted picture doesn’t do much for the walls. The color of the mats in the artwork looks perfect (to me!).

I use SW Simply white for all my trim and ceilings in this house. As @User says it depends on the light but we have WHITE replacement windows and I can't stand trim that is off white against the white white of the metal interior window trim that can't be painted.

I have BM Mascarpone and BM Battenberg on my walls in most rooms the Simply white is wonderful and elevates the ceilings and makes the trim look more than it is. I am very pleased.

@nhb22 here you go. These two rooms were just finished last week. The walls are Battenberg and the picture rail and above and ceiling are Simply White as are the baseboards and window trim.

You can really see the difference in the walls depending on light . 2 Nd room with bookcase has Eastern AM sun and first room has NW AM no sun light. Have to take a Mascarpone pick tomorrow for you. Stand by

Don’t be afraid to have the trim match the walls. With such a light wall color you don’t have to do a bright white trim.

The first image you posted looks like that - walls and trim in same color.

Here is BM Mascarpone with the SW Simple White trim and ceiling. The pics I posted are definitely Simple White trim you can expand pic to see better. Everything depends on time of day/ light.

Both of the above pictures have the wall color above and below the picture rail. The first two pictures I posted last night are the white above the picture rail. I feel strongly that the white has to match the window trim/ muntins but maybe that’s just me.

Trail, love your room colors! Where did you get the rug in your second photo?

@Bunny thank you ! all of my Oriental rugs except the two largest downstairs were purchased from an Iranian rug dealer in Montgomery AL in 2005. They were all imported by him . Sorry I can’t be more helpful.

@nhb22 this is why it’s good to get a sample can . In reality the Battenberg is a “ grey” leaning beige so I guess it’s griege. The Mascarpone has no overtone but cream. I really think you need samples and see the light in your house.

You will love it! I’ll take pic tomorrow of my mantle with the sconce I have and you will see. I was amazed at the grey undertone. Check back in the AM need good daylight
