Do you have a pulse oximeter?

Gmatx's post about her husband's experience with Covid reminds me that it's a good idea to keep an oximeter handy to measure your oxygen saturation if you are sick. I bought mine months ago after reading an article in the NYTimes about why these devices are important now. Apparently when our oxygen levels fall our automatic response is to breathe harder, and this can make the condition worse. Knowing your number means you can report it to your doctor and get the care you need.

I just checked prices of oximeters on Amazon. I thought they'd be through the roof, but they're actually much lower than what I paid for mine. The manufacturers must have stepped up. Either that, or some fly-by-night manufacturers have stepped in. Good idea to pay attention to reviews.
