Salisbury steak

Salisbury steak was not named after a place but from a man. He was Dr. J. M. Salisbury, a British doctor of the 19th century, who was a great advocate of dietary reform. The original recipe for Salisbury steak included eggs, milk, bread crumbs and other things. It was designed to make that patty more nourishing.
