Interior colour scheme for modern house?
Comments (13)I think it wants to be light the bigger the space-the harder is to make it dark. I mean-harder to make it intentionally good dark. depending on architecture, style, ceiling height..purpose, obviously..)) while there are no set rules when comes to colors. your main space kinda whispers to me "born to be lighter" maybe you can highlight some elements. given you have some distinct ones. does the kitchen exist already, or will go in the space where the opening currently is, or..? I suppose finishes will be monochrome, more or less? (if you worry about lack of dramatic dark element later-don't be. art and furnishings can give you that and much more gorgeous flooring shapes to be one great house ETA: I'm so tired of this "Last modified" thing..if you see it know it means I found a typo, then a grammar mistake, then another typo, then another grammar mistake..and it sounds so solemn as if I discovered the multiplication table while I was writing lol...See MoreColor and pattern scheme for otherwise neutral interior
Comments (7)I like your neutral white palette with black accents... Classic color combo- a light, a bright and a dark,. You need a BRIGHT 1) "Weekly rental house" So, there will be advertising pics? I'd accent your rooms with a citrus palette and shades there of. I'm not suggesting you purchase new art, necessarily. Just add colored accents. For a fluid house scheme, use different shades of a color in all the rooms. Choose warm citrus colors! Why? Warm colors project from the page, where as cool colors recede. Think I'm joking? Compare wedding photos of flowers held by bridesmaids.... Yellow jumps off the pages and red, white, greens, pinks fade to the background. I'd avoid "citrus pink" accents as it lacks universal appeal! but salmon is ok. 2) SKIP the floral bedcoverings and opt for a white duvet- Walmart. Patterned bed coverings demand the eye focuses on the bed, not the big room surrounding the bed. Patterned beds look like a well designed bed, not a well-designed room. When washed excessively, they look faded. 3) I like the bedding you have... Or ..,White duvets looks crisp and clean and inviting to a guest, like a hotel welcome. 4) DIY pillows- it's inexpensive to purchase coordinating fabrics and cover pillows. Due to its recent popularity, it is easy to find a gray fabric prints (color + gray) No need to match the colors, just use the shades of the same color.- it will work! Pics below are white & citrus, with black or gray accents. Fit four beds in one room-...See MoreInterior Color scheme dilemma
Comments (10)today is today. 5 years is 5 years. don't paint something because you're trying to please people who may buy your home 5 years later! I mean, that's just ridiculous. If you're building a spec home, then fine. But if you're going to live in it, who cares what paint color someone may like 5-10 years from now? they can repaint. You're living there now, yes? do what you like. seriously. pick what you like and what works with your decor. Either one of your choices will be fine down the road....See Moreinterior color scheme help
Comments (1)Without photos of your kitchen, etc, no one could advise you. Your white? Would you identify it? There are a gazillion white paint colors and not all work with gray....See MoreFeathers11
