It's nice but it looks too gray in the photo. I would pick something with some more obvious warm tones in the pattern so it would blend better with your floors, walls, sofa and fireplace. Something with with a little tan or brown that would tie the room together. edited to add - tan/brown and gray (warm and cool tones) can look great together but it is tough to pull off. We get many, many posts from people who try the combo and then post here asking for help because they can't understand why their room looks off. If you love brown and gray, go for it. If you are on fence, I would stick with warm neutrals and a bright accent color. It makes decorating easier.

Here's my rough attempt at the quieter/calmer style you mentioned. You could consider doing a room size natural fiber rug and layer it with a more colorful area rug in the seating area. This one is from One Kings Lane but may be available elsewhere.

I agree...lots of colors. The are pieces from other rooms in previous home. I don't care for the red wall. Walls were this color when we moved in. I can certainly paint the walls a different color altogether but I have the consider the rest of the house. My intended them was for a conversation/drinking room with chairs rather than couches. We hardly ever use this room but is at the home entrance. Trying to work with what I have and buy additional pieces to compliment. Do you think I can make it work with dark brown and camel leather chairs or should I start over? I was thinking a better rug would pull it all together. ??
