Need help mixing metals in dining room

I have gunmetal gray rods that will hang from the ceiling to hold up my new curtains. I need to replace with a new chandelier but I have no idea what finish to use. My house is transitional with a touch of rustic. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Can you show the curtains and curtain rods pls. Also the light looks low. So when you do change it. Hang it a little higher

Yes! I don’t like my current chandelier and am thinking linear! Below is a picture of rod -it has a sheen to it-and curtain swatch -it’s textured white.

I think consistency is important, especially in a small space. If most of the finishes are chrome (what's your hardware on the vanity, by the way?), by installing a light or lights that are ORB, you are drawing attention to them and you might want to think about that. Seems like from what I've seen on the shows where people are fixing up to sell, keeping things neutral is a good way to go. And just because you can see the two lights from the LR, doesn't mean they should match; the lav and the LR are very distinct spaces, after all. If you feel its too cold in there with all chrome, perhaps warm up the space with a nice pop of color in your hand towel, mat on the floor if you are so inclined, or other small accessory. Good luck!

Call me old fashioned but I could never dull the finish of a polished nickel bathroom fixture. Real ORB is a beautiful artist's finish borrowed from traditional bronze statuary but its almost impossible to find and prohibitively expensive, What is sold today as ORB is one of a half dozen simulated finishes that contain no bronze and are difficult to repair if damaged. I would not use it where it would be touched a lot. My house was built in 1891 and has aged brass knobs in the first floor living areas, black porcelain knobs in the kitchen and hardwood knobs on the second floor. All bathroom fixtures are polished nickel installed in 1903.

There are two things I don't like here. When the backs of chairs at a dining table are not higher than the table. And uncomfortable dining chair.s Who wants to sit on a metal chair. And putting cushions on those metal chairs would not look good. My advice would be .... either get 6 chairs or 8 chairs (you're showing 10 and that is too many for that table). Do not put chairs at the ends of the table, that space can't handle it and the look of a farm house table doesn't call for chairs at the ends. Get chairs that have a higher, rounded metal back but come with an upholstered, cushioned seat.

The large stainless won’t produce much light. The teal glass fixture will distort the colors in the room. Return them both. The first of the two lights you are considering is best. It is visually unobtrusive, does not distort the colors in the room, and is a clean simple style that will stand the test of time. The small amount of brass will not clash with other metals in your room. Alternately, if you want to match your metals, here is a suggestion:

Very pretty!! Love the material. I’d match the light to the rod if I could. As close to. Linear is fine but there is a lot of sharp lines and squares in there that round works too. So just look around for a light that you love regardless of it’s shape!!

If you wanted some contrast gold and glass can work as well
