As soon as possible. Aroid seeds do not stay viable for a long time. if you wait for a certain time of year they will die. You can start them in a slightly damp folded paper towel in a zipper bag and when it has roots about a half inch long transfer them to soil. keep them away from cold and in bright indirect light. No direct sun!

The "Mini Monster" (or Monstera) is Rhaphidophora tetrasperma. It's neither a Monstera nor a Philodendron. But often you'll see them in nurseries just labelled "Philodendron species". For me they grow faster than Monstera deliciosa but are a far more slender plant. So you'll need something for it to grow up. Some people grow them in a hanging pot and when the vines get a bit too long they just loop them back up over the pot. I don't root them in water, only in moist soil. If one of the leaves is starting to brown on the tip then I'd remove it from the water and pot it up.

There is a big green monstera leaf at the top which belongs to my solid green M deliciosa. This plant (separate from the one above) has a more yellow creamy variegation than my other two. The pattern is otherwise the same. Same plant as above ..there is some mini monsteras Ginny (Rhaphidophora tetrasperma) at bottom left. Gives a good representation of size lol. This one is Starting to climb. I just let them sprawl where they want to. In the past they were in mostly all day sun and they take it surprisingly well. They all get sun part of the day. I think the variegation would be stronger if they got more shade.
