eld6161, Yes, that is a mannequin of RuPaul, and there were quite a few of them on display, showing different outfits. This was from the second DragCon, and there were very few people there at that one, but it started becoming very popular the next year, and now it is too crowded.

annie and outside where are those memorials. MY DH is a Viet Nam veteran too and my DF was a WW11 veteran and I have 3 brothers who are vets and my sister was one.

bengardening, the memorial I posted is the Vietnam memorial in DC. There are 2 statues...one of GIs, the other of nurses with the wounded soldier which OutsidePlaying posted. Those are in addition to the more well-known wall.

Bengardening, the first one is in Huntsville, AL near downtown. The second one is the Vietnam Women’s Memorial near the main Vietnam memorial in Washington DC. It honors the women, mostly nurses, who served in that war. The flowers had been placed there the day we visited and I thought it was beautiful in their placement.
