not sure about this new Crape Mrytle Tuscarora
Comments (20)I'm usually a stickler for doing it the "right" way. So what exactly is multi-trunked vs. a sucker forming a trunk? What is the difference as the tree grows up? We lived in Sacramento and there I was used to mostly standards. When I moved to Florida I noticed that besides the usual Crape Murder, they are putting several seeds in one bucket and crowding several plants together and calling it multi-trunked. So I'm not sure I am really seeing true multi trunks here. I am very curious about this and what is the correct way to do it. I see a lot of not good looking Crapes here. My across the street neighbor loves the new tree and thinks it would look good as a standard. Tell me more please! I would like to learn more about the subject. I'm also wondering why there are a lot of parasitic prickery growths on some of the Crape Myrtles in Florida. I saw that at a nursery this weekend. If this one is pruned to a standard, how high will the lower branches be?...See MoreNew rug is here..not sure how I feel about it...
Comments (36)This new rug is much better. It is like what I was thinking of not having a border because this border is very subtle without such a dramatic color change. It opens up the room rather than making it feel closed in. Don't think of it that yyou are out $70, but rather a savings of $180 because you are not keeping a rug you do not like and you'd ultimately replace anyway--after the opportunity to return it. Good choice and a great price as well!! This one is a keeper. Regarding the armoire, keep trying. You are right there are a lot for sale and it's too bad, as they seem to have been quite devalued even from the higher end brands. I do think with the recession we are in, people are looking for more creative ways to decorate their houses and so CL will be a good avenue to buy/sell....See Morefront door Entrance style & Color for a new front door
Comments (2)I hope the walkway planned is at least 4’ wide. With a white house, I think you could really play with a front door color. You need a landscaping plan and the plants can echo the door color....See MoreHelp! I am not sure about my exterior paint color!
Comments (14)Thank you all! I am really warming up to it now with the second coat and with the front windows revealed with the old trim. The old trim is pure white and seems too stark so I may go a softer white. Thanks for the photo @chloebud. That looks great! Originally I was thinking of doing the mailbox and door in a color called "urbane bronze" by Sherwin Williams but that might be too boring? I think we may want to do a "pop" of color for the new door instead - like a bright coral/terracotta color. It is Hawaii after all :-) Once again - I appreciate all of your feedback and comments. I never knew exterior colors could be so nerve wracking!...See Morefelizlady
