can i use a 2 handle bar faucet as my master sink faucet?
Comments (3)Of course you can. You might also want to look into some of the single hole faucets. Some faucets like P-Pf's 'Ashfield' are sold as 4 inch spreads, but actually only use the center hole, have a plate that covers the outside two. They can be mounted either as single holes or 4 inchers....See MoreKitchen faucets with 2 handles - love it? hate it?
Comments (18)Thanks for all of the thoughts on this. Yesterday, I had to take my daughter to the Emergency Room - and it sure does put everything in perspective. Here I am worrying about faucets...but she is fine. So I suppose I can start my deliberating again. Anyhow, it sounds like still a general consensus is that 2 handles can be slightly awkward when trying to quickly turn off and on the water. And I do cook, and often am chasing the dog and the baby....or they are chasing me to be more specific. :) So if I do go with 1 lever - next question: how awkward is it when the handle is attached to the faucet? I know it looks better, but is that really easy to use? Here are my considerations for faucets - a couple Grohe and then a Moen (obviously the most affordable). Do you think these would be awkward to get on and off? In other words, could I even use the elbow with messy hands technique?? It seems like I might need a smaller elbow or at least one that angles quite well in small spaces....See More2 hole faucet sink, should I replace?
Comments (9)Agreed. It wouldn't bother me either and I think the old look is neat. I have a cross handle faucet (mixes hot and cold with separate controls)) and in the last year I don't believe that I've ever actually mixed the water. Either I'm getting cold water for a drink or hot to wash my hands. And our water heater is set low so it doesn't scald on full blast hot....See Morerecommendation for 1 handle bathroom faucet with long handle & spout?
Comments (0)I would like to replace a 2 handle bathroom faucet with a 1 handle faucet with a long handle and long spout. Do you have any recommendations for such a model (for which a deck plate/escutcheon is available)? I want to ensure that my hands don't hit the back of the sink when I'm washing my hands. When I was living in Israel, I had a Turkish faucet with a long handle, but I don't remember the brand name, and I'm guessing Turkish faucets are difficult to come by in the US. I'd appreciate your advice. thanks!...See Morechicagoans
