Has anyone used a premium preformed shower pan/base?

We recently had to remove all the tile above a shower/bath area due to leaking and rotted wood. We're now going to put in a full shower but I want to avoid a tiled shower base since the bathroom is on the second floor in an older home, and I want to avoid any chance of leaks from the base.

No tile is installed on the base, it is used as is, and is available in different colors.

Anyone have any experience with these?

What do you mean by a "premium" preformed shower base/pan?

The 'premium', as they call it, is a better material with more choices in size and color. The pan is treated as any other pan/base with the tiled walls coming down over the edges. I'm having the walls tiled, just don't want tile on the floor.

The preformed bases are made with a slope and a drain location of the end, center or a grate-type drain along one end.

    Here is an example.
