Mine is still in it's pot, but I recently had a brainstorm where to plant it in the spring. Too bad I didn't think of it a month ago. :( Don't feel shy about posting pics. I think the colour is hard to capture. What other climber do you think would complement it? Mine hasn't bloomed yet and I'm thinking of goving her a friend to grow with.

I had florentina & fiund out my son's dog was using the pot as a " potty" killing it ! Ugh! I'm getting fencing put up & a collar put on him I'm over it - I only have red eden now & she's pretty too but I want Florentina & red piano !! OH my so pretty

@sultry_jasmine_nights (Florida-9a-ish) Tangerine Skies is screaming orange. Any subtlty you see in this photo is probably just the lighting. :) It is very thorny and stiff. Even on a cow panel which is ideal for managing climbers it is a challenge. It's one I keep considering introducing to the shovel. Probably won't do it this year becasue I'll be happy with anything that survived winter. Middle Tn dropped 58 degrees in 12 hours down to -4 with 30-40 mph winds.

Gorgeous, Darren. Forentina is definitely one I would like to grow in multiples if I had room, and I'm picky about reds - no yellow or warm tones. It's a true, deep red, leaning toward the cool side. One cluster of blooms makes a whole bouquet. Also, the cluster blooms all at the same time, so there are no dead ones on the same stem.

My bareroot Florentinas I planted this spring are beasts already. Easily over 6' tall and very thorny. The one on the east side of the arbor blooms off and on but the one on the west side is in shade midday and only bloomed a small cluster in late summer. The flowers last a long time.
