What do you do when the snow is deep?
Comments (23)That is so funny brandymulvaine that you dug that up :) I went out to clear a space for some more and now the snow has covered what I already had out there. Started shoveling and found some pots of ws perennials from last year that didn't make it out to the garden. So, I'm just going to stack the crates/boxes of wsing jugs on top of the snow bank where I suspect a few others are under the snow. The snow melts slowly enough in the spring I can rearrange before everything topples over in a big mess. I certainly don't have the snow that jel is contending with, well not yet anyways!...See MoreHow do I cancel printing ?
Comments (7)You can always go to File, then Print Preview, which will show you what the pages will look like and how many there are. Then, if you hit Print from that window you can choose which pages to print if you don't want all of them. Sometimes I forget to do that and, if I realize there will be more pages than I want coming out, the fastest thing for me to do is just pull all the paper from the tray so the printer can't feed anything more. Then I go into my printer folder (usually the icon at the bottom of the screen) and choose "Cancel all documents" under the printer tab. I find that, if I just turn off the printer and then turn it back on, the print job is still there and will want to print unless I do the cancel operation that I just described....See MoreWhat to do when the Trane is not on time?
Comments (8)Mike_home, I think you hit the nail on the head. When I called him back and told him we were interested in the Trane and asked about the thermostat, he said he did not think it was 2 stage. I told him that I was very sure it was and he said he would "of course" install an appropriate thermostat and I should not worry. At that time he could have verified availability and price. He took the deposit, said it would be two weeks, we said "fine". He then said it would be longer and offered the switch. Now, he said that the job would be $900 more because the crane operator had to work on a Saturday. It may not be the best decision but we are going with the RUUD RRRL. The machine is sold and locally the company get's good reviews but so did the original contractor. They had stellar reviews actually. Thank you everyone. Let's hope this is the end of a cold journey ;)...See MoreWhat's the norm when canceling listing?
Comments (7)It would be something to ask as you are interviewing, imo. See what they say, and have them show you where it says that in the contract. Some states do it one way, others a different way. I would expect you'd be on the hook for any staging fees. You might or might not owe a commission if you sold it to someone within 30 or 90 days of pulling your contract--also may or may not be dependent on if they showed your house to the buyer....See MoreUser
