My sister says blah blah blah
Comments (27)Snookums, have you ever looked at any navy counters? I did before I posted. Some are nearly black or have a lot of grey -- not that far from the slate. Sure, there are brighter blues, but that's not what I was talking about. The slate looks great and that type of navy could too -- but I probably wouldn't have suggested the idea if I had realized the OP had green (and brighter green) counters. Camarodreemer76, I'd really like to help you, but I'm having a hard time seeing the laminate with the cabinets. You are seeing them in person and I'm seeing flash photography and computer monitor images. That last photo seems to be picking up green from your counters too. My concern is whether the colors work together. I just can't see that they do on my monitor, but as I pointed out, I'm not seeing it as you are. If they do, I think the tile is nice and would use it. If not, don't rush into something that isn't right and be unhappy until you can pay again to redo it....See MoreHelp needed to turn Blah to BAM!!!!!
Comments (20)WOW!!!!,, Thank you so very much everyone for all your ideas!,, Sueb20 repainting is no problem at all. I understand what your saying about bringing in color with accessories etc. roseabby,, I am working on finding drapes and "something" for over the sofa but I'm trying to wait until I get the new rug and chair. I don't know but I'm still liking the look of the feature fp wall. Caroline, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who is struggling with trying to get enough seating in this lil ole room. haha,, isn't it fun? Why coudn't we be blessed with a few more feet? Also, the pup you see is actually a German Short Hair. Holy cow,, what energy this dog has. But a beautiful dog with a wonderful personality. Don't let him know I said this but, it's my DH's new son!,, haha. I also see what everyone is saying about getting the rug first and playing off of that. I am leaning towards either rust or red for the main color. Am I wrong? Would it be to heavy? or should I go with a beige with red or rust splashes in it? Squirrelheaven,,, I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE you. Thank you sooo much for your time in showing me what a feature wall would actually look like rather than what my mind usually sees that ends up looking not even close to what I envisioned! I not a cold color lover. (as I'm sure you have figured out with all the boring beiges and taupes and tans etc) So the feature wall with the blue is probably gorgeous to someone else just not me. I know,, I'm boring! lol But I can actually picture what it would look like with a spice color now. mjlb, I'm really liking your idea of the floor lamps. It would also give me a little more room. hmmmmm the hunt is on! I will keep everyone posted as the room trangresses. I also hope for your opinions as the changes transpire just to keep me on the right track....See MoreRV's and food storage tip help
Comments (4)Even cereal needs to be in a plastic or glass container....those little varmints will get into anything...I found mouse poop every where food had ever been ..the little critter was steady searching for any crumbs... Since you are not moving you will not be interested in this hint but maybe someone who does move around will be...There are some things that just need to be in a particular place all the time and I hated picking them up and moving them every time you move so I solved that issue by velcroing baskets to certain places....For instance...I have a small basket about 2 inches X 7 inches wide on my night stand that holds my reading glasses, hand cream, tums, nail clippers etc etc and another on next to my captains chair up front...at the table, I have one , much larger, on each side of the table...one will hold his prescriptions and supplements, the salt and pepper, and mine on the other side, holds mine...the space between the two baskets hold napkins,,,It's nice that we don't have to clear the table every time we move..the baskets look nice and will hold enough that we can toss in whatever else we need . There is a basket on the counter top where we keep scissors, the dogs leash, tape, things we need to get to quickly and then there is a bin that we have taped to the bulkhead over the motor where we carry things like battery chargers. flashlights bulky items and on top of that another basket that has the phone charger and keys, wallet and change for tolls and lots of other things like glasses and clippers blah blah blah...couldn't get along without the baskets......See MoreBlah, blah and more blah
Comments (20)The black accent wall is amazing, but also very important are the touches of yellow to make this room wake up. In the pictures without the black and yellow it all looks lifeless. If you were to move the couches further apart a rectangular glass and metal coffee table probably would fit in nicely, and the shine of the glass would take away some of the heaviness of the couches....See MoreHU-187528210
