Comments (71)Those are also very pretty rugs. I particularly like the last one you linked. I was also thinking brown would be a good choice; though was not sure if hand-knotted was in your budget. One thing I found frustrating on Overstock is the colors are not accurately depicted with the online pics. If you read through the reviews you will notice how many people comment on that and it seems not many reviews for handknotted rugs. One piece of advice I had received is to rely more on the written description as far as colors and less on the pictures. Another thing that I noticed from another poster as well as with the rug that I purchased, is that the background is not uniform, but more blotchy with the "abrash" affect. If often gives a richer look, but again, may be a surprise as does not show up well in online pics. Is that the right size as they seemed a tad small. It would be helpful to mark that out on your floor along with the different ottoman sizes. One thing I was wondering is if you have the space for the ottoman. Do you plan to use the recliner feature with the Chloe chairs? If so, you will need open floor space for that....See MoreHelp me choose an area rug for dining room
Comments (9)It's a lovely room but I would choose a larger rug which will make the room look even more elegant and rich. A rug with a border, such as the two directly above, gives a more finished look. Also, a rug with a bit more color variation, perhaps gray or cream with a soft terracotta, would lend more life to your dining room....See MoreNeed some help with large window and Sitting area design

Comments (5)Oh lucky you! I would LOVE a separate living room. Consider how you want to use the space. Preferably, something other than "a pretty place for people to see when they walk in before they go to the family room." While that's fine if that's what you really want it to be, it has become the reason people are (unfortunately, in my view) eliminating "formal" living rooms in new homes. It's SO nice to have an away room, which this could be for you. So, conversation? Reading? Any musicians in your family? How about board games? In my house this would be the reading/conversation/music room, so I would furnish it with 4 comfy chairs in a circle with a center table, maybe a bookshelf or two and a piano. What you do with it depends on the space you have....See Moregracei_sg
