You're missing a few things off your list. 1. Blum drill jig (about 200 plus dollars. Accurately drills all three holes in seconds) 2. A tape measure (there's enough up and down adjustment in those hinges to calculate and install the base plate without holding up the door using #3. 3. Small Blum drilling template for position of base plate screws. 4. Beer is to be consumed after job is complete and you are admiring your work.

Well, I suppose this is "true confession" time. We've had our home over a dozen years now and have yet to adjust hinges. DW is just that -- a real dear. She has never said a word to me about them. I saw the need a long, long time ago, and I know she saw the need way before me. The "true confession" part of this is that I have yet to figure out how to adjust those "awesome 6-way adjustable things". I realize that during the time I'm taking to write this post, I could go online and find out how to do the job. However, as these sorts of things usually go, until it reaches the point that the doors cannot close at all, this project probably will wallow at the low end of my "Honey Do" list.

What Joseph said. But at first glance, I think you are correct about loosening the screw circled in your photo to adjust the entire plate up and down. Note that the screw looks fairly stripped out, so be careful and intentional as you make the adjustment (i.e., don't add to the damage or the screw might become unusable).

@Sara S unfortunately the spring mechanisms used now are totally different - it's a plastic block with actual springs where with mine it's a piece of spring steel. I did order some music wire and I'm going to see if it's possible to make a new spring mechanism - we'll see how that goes :p @cat_ky yes, we could do that, but we'd rather have the closing mechanism built into the spring vs using the magnets.
