How often do you have to adjust your hinges?

I understand that cabinet door hinges get out of whack from time to time just from normal usage. And the way they make them now, these awesome 6-way adjustable hinges, it's easy to take a screwdriver and readjust them. (Unless your carpenter has screwed up your cabinet installation, but that's the story of another thread...)

So the question is, for those of you living with your new kitchens for a while now - how often do you find you have to readjust your hinges? Every month? Six months? Two years? More at the beginning than later on, or the opposite?

Bonus question: have you ever had trouble adjusting your hinges so the doors wouldn't rub, and ended up doing "funky" things to them like slipping a bit of cardboard behind them?

Thanks in advance for your input!
