Hi, Ange, When you say 'Natural White, is it a true white or an off-white? Are there any bits of 'silver' in the rooms already, such as lamps or picture frames? I might hold off your rod decision until you find the curtains that you like, as the fabric may influence your decision. Good luck!

and i do agree on the rug. what color? I would find a rug in a color that matches your lamps (aqua?). A subtle tone-on-tone aqua would be perfect, I think. Ivory would look nice, too. If you wanted a bit of a pattern, or multiple colors, then maybe aqua with some ivory, beige, or navy accents. (Assuming you have beige on your comforter; looks beige on my screen, but it could be gray or taupe, maybe?) how about the curtains? color ok? I think the color looks good... Looks like the rod should extend farther away from the window/door, though. All of the fabric, when opened, should rest against the wall, not blocking the window at all. This helps the window look bigger. :-)

I love all the suggestions - thank you! Now I need to take pictures of all my rooms and look at them, because I hadn’t realized how bad that chair looked over there until I saw the picture! 😬 As you can tell, the furniture wasn’t bought for this room. We were shocked that everything fit when we moved. I don’t think I can convince my husband to take the fireplace out - he really likes it, and we do use it in the winter some. Unfortunately all the wall space in my closet has built in shelves so no room for the tallboy. The shelves aren’t full so I may see if I can shift some things around and get rid of it. The chair is a smaller size recliner and I don’t know that I can find something much smaller. We have a vent in the corner that the chair would cover there. I don’t use it as much as I used the chair I had at the old house so this one may go. But then do I need something on that wall? I like the idea of getting bedding I love and adding a throw for the dog. We keep our door closed most of the time so that might work. I’m going to look for a white curtain rod and try hanging curtains right below the molding - I like that look! I wish my husband were handy because I’ve always loved the look of mounding on the wall. I’ll have to think about that...
