Decorating above a console table in family room
I am in the process of re-decorating our family room and trying to go for more traditional to transitional. We are trying to re-purpose a newer console table but am undecided as to a mirror above. I appreciate any input. (The abstract picture is on the wall directly opposite.
I’ll include other pics of the room. We plan to get a round coffee table and get rid of dark wood tone.

Comments (44)DK- Last year one of our cats ate my entire ASPCA approved pet-friendly palm plant. He ate little bits at a time so as to not raise suspicion. When all was said and done, we had spent $5,000 in surgery & vet fees to have the contents of my plant removed from Hobbes’ lower intestines. I love love love the look of real plants in any interior space. If I could, I’d fill up my entire house. Unfortunately I can’t risk endangering my babies again. I don’t know what’s wrong with them lol. The other day my husband dragged a leaf in on the back of his work boots. 3 years agolast modified: 3 years agoLovely home! I was on the PB site recently and remembered this mirror after seeing your rooms.
I like the idea of a mirror there for bringing in dimension and light reflection. I’d do a round or tall vertical one to break up all the square shapes in that space.
