Sorry for the late update. It's been almost 5 years since we had the exterior painted. Thanks, Jenny, for the reminder! We are so very happy with the color selection. We went with Sherwin-Williams 6257 Gibraltar, Duration Flat. The Duration costs a bit more, but the painter said it would last longer and he was right. The color is a perfect blue grey for us (not any green grey like we had before or some of the greys we tested that looked purple). Different sides of the house at different times of the day obviously look lighter or darker. This shows in the pictures I posted. Before painting we took down some woody bushes around the house perimeter and then afterwards we planted. These are before planting pictures. I also included the Sherwin-Williams color link. I would clear coat the cedar, and also add a wood door, so that you have a few things, that look like they belong together. Cedar is expensive, I wouldnt want to cover it up.

The brick has already been painted and was painted due to severe water damage and staining on the front facade due to previous owner neglect. Also because I like painted brick - always have and always will. Before pic attached. Already paid for architect and much more for the interior so unfortunately it is not in the budget at this moment for an architect for the exterior. Our gutters are also in poor shape again due to owner neglect with over grown trees so it is a necessity to replace them.

There are a few nice options, here is one of them. Muted greyish green with black trim and doors. You can paint your gutters and downspouts in black and install large black sconces.
