LOL, the rainbow was the first thing that jumped out at me....and THEN I noticed how gorgeous the landscape is! I love it when nature gives us surprises, don't you? We had some 'thunder snow' not too long ago. I heard the loud cracks of thunder and went to a window to look at what I figured would be a a rain storm coming, but it was snowing like crazy. Didn't you post a picture of a double rainbow at one time, Ken? That's something that we see only a few times a year, here. Have any of you ever seen a 'sun dog'? That was a new one for me this fall. Robert came in from the west facing front yard and told me to hurry up and come look! The last time he said that, a tornado was bearing down on us. But there was the strangest phenomenon in the sky...I can't even really describe it properly so I'll attach a google page. These images are really what they look like and not done with fancy lenses. GreenMikey, How big is that bloom tip to tip? Its been a great summer for Stapelia here. Mine has been blooming like crazy. All three of mine have bloomed at least once, and the one in the hanging basket is on at least its 4th set of blooms. My first bloom was about 13" tip to tip , but it seems like all the subsequent blooms are a little smaller, at about 8"to 11". Is that typical? Hey there Moonphase- I wanted to let you know that you are not alone in not receiving seeds from Willy yet- I too am patiently waiting for their arrival in my mail box. I sent in a bunch of seeds and asked for far less back- and I hope he reads this here post cuz I really do not want as many back as I sent in!! It is a HUGE swap and a HUGE amount of time is spent sorting seeds! I hosted a much smaller swap- and it took about 50 man hours of sorting to get through it all! I know how much work it is- and am hoping Willi is taking some time to enjoying himself- even with working so hard to get through them all! I am choosing to look at this way- as with most things in life- the best things are worth waiting for! Hope it helps to know- you are not waiting all alone.... Julie
