I'm interested in your Trapa Bicornis seeds. I don't know if you have a pond or not but I have Queen of Siam and Panama Pacific tropical water lily vips and Albert Greenberg tropical lily tuber. I also have bladderworts, Utricularia radiata, a carnivorous floating plant with really cool blooms. I also have a red tropical lily night bloomer. I have Solanum integrifolium...."Pumpkin on a Stick", which I've heard referred to as a decorative eggplant. But it is a different species than the "normal" eggplants I grow. I also have several colors and shapes of "normal" eggplants if you are looking for any "kinda" unusual Solanaceae. And maybe if I look around, I'll find another type. I remember a very spiny eggplant-like plant from a year or two ago, but can't remember what it was. I am very busy in September and would not be interested in working out a trade until October. I grew rocoto peppers a few years back. I agree with Tom that they are very interesting and beautiful plants and fruit. You would have a unique plant with them. GW has some photos (April 22, 2007) in an old hot pepper forum post I've linked below, also some overwintering info. Tom, you might try pruning your rocoto way back to overwinter it...maybe wait for the pods to mature and then hack, er, prune, it way back so it doesn't become too much of a space hog during the winter. I've had massively trimmed peppers survive and produce much earlier after overwintering. But I got sick of battling aphids on the indoor plants and haven't overwintered recently. If I'm remembering correctly, the rocoto's weren't as dependent on hot weather for good growth as many of the other peppers types, and they may have been heat and daylength sensitive for flower/fruit set. Wildflower and Snoogie, bad news. The Dutchman's Pipe Vine seeds I had saved do not seem to be viable. I had thought the pods were a bit small when the first frost hit them but I left them a little longer to see if they would develope further. All the seeds I have started have failed to sprout and the remaining seeds grew some kind of fungus or mold. I will try my hand at cuttings this year to see if I can propagate them. GottaHosta, my Spider Lillies have yet to show their faces. Amaryllis are mixed with them and they have come up only in the past week or so and I have the uncanny ability to shear bulbs in half when digging them up unless I know right where they are. I will happily dig you a couple when they show themselves. I travel all around Metro Atlanta in my work so I can deliver to a wide range of areas. See me at the trade. For everyone else I have your trades ready to go........... I think!

esh - the other leaves are False Indigo. About the Baptisia, do think I could propagate it? I've never tried, but I could. Acording to Dave's, "Propagation Methods: From seed; direct sow outdoors in fall From seed; winter sow in vented containers, coldframe or unheated greenhouse From seed; stratify if sowing indoors From seed; germinate in a damp paper towel Scarify seed before sowing" But I don't recall seeing seed pods.... I guess I need to pay closer attention. In the meantime, I could put a stem in water and see what happens.
