Hi all! I did a forum search and got no hits, so I'm hoping someone can share their experiences. We are building a new bathroom in our 100+ year old house and I love the showers with the exposed pipes/valves. I've looked at all I can find, and so far my favorites style-wise are from the online catalog of Baths From the Past. I don't know how to judge their quality though, and I'm hoping to find someone who has purchased from them. My husband and I don't tend to be "top of the line" kind of people, but we want a good solid performer that will give us 20 years of decent performance. Any help? Thanks!

Your order was placed on Tue, 08 Oct 2019 and not in August. 2. It may very well be the case that the big design house has never heard of us but that does not change the fact that their production is very very slow and we have been given a wrong delivery date. We understand that you are upset and share your frustration, but we didn't mislead or defraud you. Just have a look at the reviews of any other online seller of Italian furniture and count how many of them mention months long delivery times and delayed orders. Whoever claims that there are quick deliveries for this kind of furniture simply does not have any clue or has bought a showroom piece vs a custom made one. 3. How do you prove or assume that the "dozens of fraudulent charges" originated from the purchase on our website? Neither we nor our payment processor have access to your credit card information or save this information locally or online. We make use of AES-256 encryption, Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) and 3D Secure verification for any credit card charges. Also every professional payment processor from western countries has very strict KYC procedures and cancels any merchants that exceed 1% of orders with chargebacks immediately. This statement is simply a false accusation and we kindly ask you to provide proof for it or take it back. To summarize, we have paid for the production of your bed in October and it has been manufactured by the big design house according to your requirements, which took longer than we have been advised when we placed the order, for which we apologized several times but this is simply out of our control. You are very welcome to check the serial number, production date and all the details with the manufacturer when you receive it and it should be very obvious that we didn't mislead or defraud you. Whether the person you have spoken to has heard of us or not does not change the fact that their production is slow, so why do we get the blame for it? Lastly I want to share my personal opinion as a seller, from last year on we rather sell smaller, lesser known brands that provide reliable delivery dates or ready-made pieces than being caught in the middle between a slow, big brand that gives false estimates and waiting customers that blame us for the delays in production. There is absolutely no meaning in doing such a transaction with all the back and forth, bad feelings on all sides and the damage to our reputation. We have delivered to hundreds of high-end contractors, builders, hotels and private customers in the US and worldwide. Most of those orders have been completed in the advised time-frame or even quicker and without even having been in contact once, so we don't have a lot of reviews but we have many repeat orders from commercial customers, so we must do something right.

I know free standing tubs are “in” but I will tell you that before buyng one you go try out getting in and out of them. I grew up with a free standing cast iron claw foot tub and even as a kid I hated how awkward it was to get in and out of. IMO a nice deep saoker tub alcove style will be a forever nicer choice . As for comfort no one can tell you about that you need to test drive for yourself. Also most normal bathrooms cannot handle a free standing tub so make sure where you are planning it is big enough , you need a min. of 12” all around and more is better both for cleaning the walls and for the visula in the space .

Has anyone purchased from Floorcity.com before? They have a great price on Coretec, but I'm finding mixed reviews on them. How did your purchase go?
