I live in NE Ohio (not alot of natural sunlight) and have a small 10x11 guest bedroom that is north facing (only 1 window, north facing - no overhang, landscape, etc). Currently has builder's grade flat paint SW agreeable gray.

1. Trying to spruce it up (make it cheery, brighter) - not sure what paint color would look best.

In general, I do not like tans/browns, yellows/oranges, true olive colors.

2. Should I paint all the walls the same or do 1 wall as an accent (wall with largest painting) - if so, what color combo?

The adjoining bathroom is SW sleepy blue.

Note: Will be changing the layout of the room (plan to put the bed up against the wall with the largest painting, add 2 nightstands one on each side of the bed, plug-in wall sconce lighting on both sides, and put a sitting bench under the window) so Paint doesn't need to match current furniture or bedspread.
