Comments (12)Siam Before you order any hosta seed or hostas, go to this forum and ask about growing hosta in your zone, which, by the way is......????? http://www.perennialnursery.com/forums/index.php .......click on the hosta forum and there is a hosta seed/hybridizing subforum that will answer all your questions. I have a large collection but stopped collecting actively when I could not successfully hybridize hostas in my zone 7 climate, al least to the extent I wanted to hybridize. Now, I just enjoy the heck out of these beautiful perennials ..........they are especially pristine and lovely as they emerge at this time of year. Comments (8)well ami ... we in MI just had 4 weeks in single digit temps ... so there isnt much action anywhere in the cold areas ... and hosta dont do all that good.. the warmer your zone .. so though you may be ready, willing and able to get a move on spring.. you just arent going to find many hosta peeps that are ABLE .. trust me.. after an intensely cold winter.. i am ready .. but mother earth is not able .. are hosta appropriate for your zone???? anyway ... try the exchange forum.. but dont expect much until the ground thaws in a vast majority of the US ... ken...See Morepaty99
