Master Bath overhaul

Our master bathroom reno is underway - we bought a cosmetic fixer 6 years ago and this is the last room to be updated.

Our original pick for the bathroom tile, a large format hex tile, is discontinued so we need to pick something else. I love the look of the hex tile but the ones I like all seem to be over $30 a square foot.

Our other bathrooms & entryway have 12 X 24 tiles in shades of gray. For consistency, does it make sense to stick with that for the master?

We did find another hex tile that I loved, Pental Absolute in white, it’s over $32 a square foot (!!) while the 12 X 24 is only $4 a square foot.

I’ve added a few photos below showing our original & current pick.

Is hex tile worth the extra money?
Should I stick with 12 X 24 because that’s what I have in the rest of my house or should I look for something completely different?

Thanks!
