Floor Plan Advice/Help - MasterBed too big, MasterBath too small?
Comments (4)To me, the floorpan seems to make sense as it is. You could extend the bath slightly into the bedroom to give you a longer countertop space, about where the wall of bedroom2 runs, but you need to know if that works with your bedroom furniture. You could also slide the shower over to the back part of your closet, accessed from the shorter end, to slide to toilet down and have more countertop. It depends on your priorities....See MoreWhat should I do to update these cabinets?
Comments (10)"preserve the cabinets...quality??? " BE SURE and browse in kitchen showrooms as to new features of cabinetry available. FEATURES means function, storage aspects, looks. You can get taller wall cabs here which will give you MORE storage. You can get glass doored fronts as the window is smallish and the glass gives a brighter look. You can get base drawers for up to date better storage. Perhaps critical, but kitchen decisions need to be of the critical sort. "Preserve" for me would be leave as is, No new counters...and full appliance package would be part of remodel [ to plan for. ]...involves decision about range /hood/venting etc. Some new hardware is easy for now....See MoreMaster Bedroom Overhaul
Comments (23)Love the chunky throw! I’ll keep my eye out for pictures for above the bed and start the hunt for nightstands and curtains (been trying to find a dresser I love too). Thanks so much for all of the advice! Oh, and I never considered brass lamps, but that would be so pretty! The wall color is for sure changing once I get the rest figured out- green is not my thing and it just feels good to repaint, making the house feel more like ours☺️...See MoreNeed help on a small addition master bedroom and master bath 19x19
Comments (13)We're adding a slightly larger master suite (20x26) that also includes reconfiguring the original space to create a hallway entrance next to an existing hall bath. Our architect configured the space so that the new master bath abuts the existing hall bath, presumably to minimize the plumbing work etc, as in the 2nd sketch by @er612. She also aligned the new master closet with the existing space which just helps as a sound buffer. The rest of the layout was decided based on views - optimal placement of windows, strategic placement of the bathroom door, having wall space for a TV if you want that....See More- 3 years ago
