Robotic Vacuums

Looking for recommendations on a robotic vacuum like Roomba or other brands that work on Mohawk Smart strand carpet. I’ve read about some robotic vacuums ruining some people’s carpet.
I have tile floor and carpet in living room. I just got a white lab and have a shepherd mix and want to keep up on the fur.

There have been several posts about robotic vacuums. Here are the results I found.

Personally, I've used them for years and prefer the Roomba. I'm not convinced that the rubber rollers on the newer Roomba do as good a job as the brush rollers on carpet. I tend to use my older Roomba (brush rollers) on the carpet, but it doesn't have the suction power of the newer Roomba.

at one time i had 4 great danes and my roomba was a Godsend! even though i'm down to just 2 danes, i use it frequently.

I have the Roomba 980 which I believe is the newest one. I have 2 dogs that shed like crazy wchich is one reason I love the vacuum. It's keeps the hair from getting out of control. The rollers on my machine do get full of hair but are fairly easy to clean. I think the battery lasts about 60 min and then it has to charge. if I run it everyday than it can do my first floor in one charge if not it has to go back and charge again.

I recently got a Deebot. It was the editors pick in CNET magazine. It was on sale at Best Buy for $200. I run it on edge cleaning mode a couple of times a week and it really controls the tumbleweeds of cat hair. In auto mode it rambles all over the house in a seemingly aimless pattern, but it does pick up anything around it. It can go from wood floor to rugs to tile with no problem. Donna

I have original oak & we bought a deebot from target on sale about a year ago. I've never had issues with scratches. We have 2 kids (pre-teen & toddler) & 2 cats.
