Paint Design Dilemma

Beach House - Interior Paint HELP!!!

Just purchased a home on the on the panhandle of Florida. LR and bedrooms are all neutral color. I wanted to paint white in a warm tone... Any suggestions on interior paint color.? I want to go light... there are so many. Suggestions on where to start would be helpful.

Trim is currently white white and don't want to change since it is in really good shape.(will be touching up where needed). Kitchen cabinets are white with quartz neutral countertops, and white backsplash.

Also what is your recommendation to make the ceiling seem higher? They are 10 foot just wanted an even higher feel. Do you go with white color ceiling plus 25% of the color you choose for the walls?

IMO 10’ is the max ceiling height I would ever do so if you want to look higher I find taking the wall color for the ceiling too gives that illusion often. As for which white I have no cluse and even if you posted pics of your space there is no way to know what works. The best is to choose 3 whites yout think will work, get 3 large poster boards paint each one with 2 coats and then move them around to see which one you like better. Before choosing wall color make sure all the lighting is LED in 4000k that mimics daylight and makes the colors stay true. I like a bit more contrast between white trim and walls so maybe consider a pale gray/ green to work as a neutral Rain washed is a nice neutral

IMO interior paint colors should be chosen to work with what you have in the spaces not some 1860s colors that don’t relate to your life. I like historic colors for exteriors but not inside.

I really hate to say it, but, I would lighten up that dark paint, that you painted the house with, before doing doors, etc. Its just too gray and gloomy, for a beach setting. I agree with littlebug above, its perfect for a deep woods somewhere. Now as to the door. I notice you are asking about Valspar colors. Here is the name of one, that is very pretty aqua/teal color, its a very fresh and clear color. It is Valspar, and can be mixed in exterior or interior paint. For your door, I would use a semi gloss. The color name is Setting Sail V028-2. Its beautiful.

@Sandrea Miller. I’m still loving the neutral farmhouse colors. I love depth of color no matter the shade. I gravitate toward Benjamin Moore colors although Sherwin Williams will probably be more convenient. My 2 problems: coordinating colors in an open floor plan (losing it here), and inevitably choosing every color some shade of green or gray. I have used Houzz photos in the past for individual room colors…maybe I just have to kick-up my looking a bit to for color schemes in open floor plan(???)
