Comments (2)Mary, I don't do anything to prepare the A incarnata for the winter. I just leave it be. In the spring, I will cut back the dead wood as the new growth appears. My older plants are not doing so good this year, so I will probably replace them next spring. The plants seems to lose vigor after several years. Comments (1)I brought mine (triple braided as well) in last winter and it did fine. The trick is to get it to go dormant. So, reduce water drastically and do not fertilize. I did experience fungus gnats but that was because I watered too much. I got some blooms here and there, which was nice. I kept it in a sunny window. I wouldn't keep it in a basement if it gets cold down there (low 50s) because hibiscus really don't like cool temps. Also, they need some light, even in winter. Be prepared for some major leaf loss. You can prune it back (maybe 1/3) if it is getting too large. I usually do this in spring, though. The link below has some more tips. Mandevilla can be overwintered indoors, but I have never done it so I have no help for you there. Comments (11)Okay, I do not prebake any of my rolls. I shape them, and if they are the ones that go in cup cake pans, I just grease the pans, put melted butter on top of the rolls and freeze the pan and all. When frozen, wrap tightly with heavy foil. When ready to bake, it depends on how warm your room is as to how long it will take for them to thaw and raise. Sometimes to hurry things along, I turn on my electic oven for just a few minutes, then turn it off, turn on the light in there and put as many pans in as it will hold. You probably can't bake them all at once anyway. It may take 3 to 4 hours. Just bake as you usually would. So much easier. I think they keep probably at least 3 or 4 weeks in the freezer. If you shape them like for crescent rolls, place them on cooky sheets until frozen, then those can be placed in ziplock bags until ready to use. I usually butter those after I take them out of the freezer. Doesn't matter I guess. I hope I have answered your questions about the rolls. If now feel free to ask. Sue...See Morebeesneeds
