DH helped me move the couch so I could clean under it. It has recliners on both ends, so it's not easy to clean from the front. I'm embarrassed to admit how many potato chip crumbs were under there. But I found two jigsaw puzzle pieces!

I said I was done with knitting when they said, "Sitting is the new smoking." But I'm knitting a baby blanket. Cleaned under the microwave oven. I've been trapping rats; got 6 so far. Rinse out the big trash cans when they get smelly.

Lucille, I got this. I have cleaned places in this house that haven’t seen the light of day. Guess my biggest project was cleaning all the drawers and closets in entire home. This house got bigger and bigger while I was cleaning,but hey, it kept me moving. Last Saturday I cleaned and buffed the leather seats in two of our cars. Think we have maybe driven the cars once or twice since February. I ironed a scarf last week for an outfit. Never did that in my 82 years. At least we are still motivated to keep moving.

If you think under a couch or chair is embarrassing stick your hands down the sides and along the back then move them along that crack. I think I found a couple of cats and enough chips and cookie bits to feed a nation and it had only been three months.

Vacuumed two rooms, did some laundry, fixing a decent supper, for a change, haha!

My trip to the Oral Surgeon will be it for the day.

Changed 2 beds (Mine and guest bed...had company over the week-end), cleaned the bathrooms, got some of my veggies ready for my soup tomorrow and "rested my eyes" sitting in my recliner this afternoon. ;)

I cuddled my dog while I worked in my pajama’s. Lately, for me, that’s considered multitasking.

ETA: And yup...I’m pretty bored too!!!

I didn't get anything remarkable done today. Yet anyway. I had to go out, bank drive up and Safeway. I hadn't been in Safeway in weeks, we've been grocery shopping out of town on the days I have window visits with my mother. My sister drove down there today - she didn't have a chance to see Mom last week.

So windy! I've swept some leaves but DH has done the bulk of it. This is a warm, dry wind and very strong for this time of year, we even had some broken branches this morning from overnight.

I have a piece of inherited azalea hedge that I leave somewhat natural, I don't like a formal pruning there but its getting out of control and I was going to work on that before dinner. There is a doe and fawn napping in front of it in the yard so I guess not right now ;0)

We finally broke down and took a truck load of stuff to the thrift store last week. It was stuff we had purged back in the spring when everything was shut down. I was tired of it occupying space in the attic. There is always just one guy at the loading dock at the back who takes the boxes and gives us a receipt and he was masked. It was cooler for a couple of days this weekend, so I went after some weeds in one perennial bed.

I keep finding painting projects around my home. I also have been doing some canning. Today I'm working on chicken soup, something I have never canned before.

I am NEVER bored enough to iron.

Ever.

It helps that I suck at it. I am more likely to iron a huge crease in the other side of whatever I am trying to smooth out.

Last time I was bored I made some snickerdoodle "bread."

I have been cooking a lot less lately. I decided to hit up pinterest for a few casserole ideas. I made one tonight, it was very good. My husband has been a great helper!

cooper, sounds like something I would do! Changed the sheets on my bed, made a dozen twice-baked potatoes for the freezer + 2 meatloaves. Other than that, pretty much took it easy today. I'm having my second cataract surgery tomorrow.

I mapped the inside of my eyelids after my procedure ... Africa on the right side and the Grand Canyon on the left ... planning on mars and Jupiter [think red spot] next ...

I ironed three masks this morining, they came off the line yesterday. Then, went on a drive with other MINI cooper folks. What fun. :)

Boredom has yet to be a thing here. We were sooo blessed this hit at spring so garden season kept the "what should I do" at bay BIG TIME. Winters we are used to hunkering down so not so sure it will happen. Stripping wall paper--the final walls from my house kept me busy a big chunk of June. I detest that job!

When I took my Ride for Dad t-shirt out of the dresser it was pretty wrinkly so it had to be ironed. I do know how to iron, but haven't done it in years as hubby loved ironing. He often wore button-down cotton shirts and he'd set up the ironing board in the dining/livingroom area, put his 'ears on' and happily iron his and my shirts meticulously to his heart's content.

So I got the ironing board down from behind the spare bedroom door, (heavy) set it up, got the iron from the closet shelf and put distilled water in it

Plugged it in and pondered over the heat settings. Started ironing and no steam. The little indicator is weird so I had the setting off instead of on.

Got the t-shirt ironed then checked in the closet to see if any shirts needed ironing, while I was at it. Started ironing a shirt, the phone rang, went out to get it. Chatted for a bit, then saw something that I wanted to do in the kitchen and did it. A while later I remembered "I was ironing!"

Went back to the bedroom and it had turned itself off, of course, thankfully. I finally got my shirt ironed. I haven't ironed since hubby and I got together, so it didn't take much to get me distracted, but of course, anything can get me distracted from whatever task I'm doing! :-)

Jasdip, he would be so happy to see you ironing, in his honor too!

I actually have plenty to do, but still feel bored a lot of the time. The sadness of everything that's going on is oppressive.

Collecting, hulling and cracking macadamia nuts is what I've been doing when I need something mindless. This is the 2nd harvest from my tree and it's a lot so far - maybe 1/2 bushel, and still more on the tree.

Using a hammer and a slice from a pool noodle for my nutcracking. I learned how from a YouTube video.

I cleaned the shower! Even have the liner in the washing machine. I also unloaded the dishwasher. I told DH that I was only going to unload one rack, save the rest for another time. But I felt frisky and did both racks.

I do get bored, but then think of all the time we need to fill before life goes back to normal ... and procrastinate some more. Still plenty of time to deep clean, purge closets, label all those family photos, evaluate all the recipes I've been saving, etc. Laziness wins out, again :-)

...started cutting and stacking brush from the fence line, even though it's still too hot out to claim any level of comfort. I have the scratches, embedded thorns, and chiggers to prove it. I must think I deserve the self-flagellation because I let the darned autumn olive get a foothold, when I should have removed every little sprout when it first appeared. I could wait another few weeks, for cooler weather, but I'm tired of the branches slapping me in the face every time I mow.

Another one here who could never be bored enough to iron. If bored, I just go take a nap.

Watched a 25 minute tour of the space station. It’s really cool! The commander gives the tour before she returns to earth. She hasn’t sat down for 6 months and shows where they sleep, saying that she can sleep upside down because without gravity they have no orientation

I have a new favorite pass time watching you tube videos. I watch all kinds of stuff. If I start one and it is not worth watching I just skip to the next one. It can be very entertaining. And the news has been anything but entertaining these days. I watch some adorable animals and some really funny things and crafty stuff that I think I might like to do but then I go to the next video and forget about doing the craft. I however have not watched a video on how to saddle a mule or was it a donkey? Excuse me now I just got a notification that my favorite dumpster diver has a new video for me to watch! They save so much stuff from going into the landfill. 😊

I'm so bored I am trying to watch Martha Stewart's new garden show and I do not like her at all. So far, third try, I have made it 15 minutes into the first show.

I really want real gardening shows on HGTV, but not that one. I can no longer watch "Flop the Flip" or "List or Hate the Show". Also, "Bubble Brains go to the Beach" which is a sequel to "Bubble Brains Buy a House".

Well, my son turned me on to Kirkland's Sangria (Costco). I am NOT a drinker, but this stuff is pretty tasty!

mama goose, Autumn olive is a horrible bush. I had gotten some from the county sale and planted about 6 of them. A few years later I yanked them out and it was a real pain in the tookus!

kathyg, our elderly neighbor, who owned the farm to our south, stopped mowing his pastures and let the Autumn olive take over. It started showing up in our fence line and in the spots I couldn't mow around the pond. I thought it was a lovely plant, especially the pretty, sparkly berries, which the birds love. I asked about it on the Shrubs forum, and boy, did I get an education. 0.0

Since then I trim it back every year, but I'm barely keeping ahead of it. I had no idea how invasive it can be. It's choked out most of our dogwoods and sassafras saplings. I'm on a search and destroy mission for Japanese honeysuckle, too. It's a shame such pretty, sweetly scented, plants are so aggressive.

I wouldn't call myself bored - but I keep a list of chores and try to make myself do at least one every day, because I will go down the rabbit holes of youtube or news sites and let hours go by in browsing.

I realized today, when I saw that some trees had started to turn, that we are approaching mid-September and made myself start my fall window cleaning. Usually I procrastinate until it has turned chilly and then I am unhappy with myself for doing so.

I also finished cleaning and reassembling another Dyson vacuum. Fifth one, I think - besides being clogged, it had lost a screw in the stand mechanism (but not a spring thank goodness) which was easily replaced.

Lol I am happy to share! One is a cute little gal from the Dallas area and the other is a very nice funny guy that lives in the Houston area.

I fixed the gutters on the front of the house, scrubbed the metal threshold at the door, dug and planted some remedial grass in the yard, canned tomatoes, breaded two eggplants, made sauce, cooked another dinner with things that needed attention, cleaned out the fridge and mopped the floors. Yeah, it was a busy day.

The more upset I am at the world the more cleaning I do. I guess it is a way of feeling as if I have some power over things.

If you come into my house and get a sense that everything has been cleaned, you know that I am upset. Lately, it has been pretty darned clean.

Other than the political state of affairs and the virus, I have a hostile neighbor that I have to deal with everyday. He is a most loathsome fool who will go out of his way to do something dastardly to intimidate, harass and assault us as often as he can. I have never known a more vile man in all of my life. He has even threatened us with violence. So, dealing with his sorry self just sickens me every morning. Not even his wife wants to stay home with him. She spends her days now back at the nursing home visiting where her father is, now that she can. He is toxic to everyone and has decided that we are enemy number one and he is going to not let us forget that. You have seen these people who carry their own self hatred out into the world. That is him. He just can't escape his own self. But, he can intimidate the old couple next door. He is a real sick puppy.

With all of the state of affairs, my house is quite clean and decluttered. Most of it is anxiety driven. I don't need this fool next door. We are looking at some legal action and have been video documenting his aggressive acts.

Cleaned out my mom's double car garage. No car anymore, but lots of cob webs, boxes, etc. Even was able to sneak a few boxes of stuff into my car to take to goodwill. She supervised.
