Mount Washington on a clear late April day in 2016. At 6,288.2 feet, it’s the highest peak in the northeast US. In 1934, it recorded the highest wind speed (until 1996) on earth at 231 mph. Thanks NH baskets...DH and I so fondly remember taking tea on the back porch of the Mt Washington Inn overlooking that gorgeous mountain.

I also remember a co-worker from way back who would get together with a group of friends and do the "presidentials" on the summer solstice. He explained that you needed the long daylight to get the 20 miles done.
