I always suggest doing a mock up board if you are unsure of grout colours. There have been so many threads on here where people are upset because the grout colour has been completely different from what they were expecting. My personal preference is a bit of contrast with white subways, but as somersletlass says, make sure it is grey and not cream. I think we used platinum, but it's been a while and I can't really remember. If it is, it is a true pale grey. some of the greys look pale on the chip, but in real life are quite dark. Your kitchen looks amazing and I can hardly wait for your reveal pictures. Keep us posted!

Finally made a decision! Had a color consultant from the painting company come out and look at paint samples and tile. Decided an off-white cabinet vs white would look best based on the rest of the kitchen and house. Picked the tile we liked best and the BM Maritime White we originally picked for cabinets and walls. We'll use the same white trim I have in the rest of the house. There's enough of a contrast where it looks good and that's what I've done with the rest of the house --and consistent with the decor style. My 1926 house has a lot of nice moldings, large baseboards, and trim and we show it off!

thank you so much for your response! The floors are quarter sawn white oak that will be stained a warm med tone walnut color. nothing too dark. I did realize when i posted this that my cabinets will touch the ceiling so I decided to go with the same white throughout most of the house on the ceilings, Decorators White. On the top floor, which is our master bedroom suite I think I'm going to use the Chantilly lace. It's a bit darker up there and I'm trying to make it as bright as possible. Thats the color of our vanity in the masterbath, so I may just do all the trim and ceilings that color. That floor is a clean break from all the other walls and trim, so it won't look like a mistake! Truthfully the place was a mess before renovation (we bought it that way) so I really just want everything clean and white!! I may end up doing what you suggested with the walls...still wishing for white, but don't I can steer away from the Decorators white without making the cabinets look dingy.
