I thought it would be fun to try a color chain reaction. So find a color in a prior picture and use it as inspiration for a color in yours. You might say whose picture inspired you, and the chain need not be linear.

Today is also National South Carolina Day.

Back to work. Back to school. It's been 6mos since our classroom had students in it. We us a lot of color to help the students feel welcome, cheery safe.

Linda and Jasdip – That kitty has been adopted, but not by me. When I first saw him, he took my breath away because he reminded me of my beloved Charlie whom I miss immensely. I had him in the one to one room and (don’t know how to articulate my feelings) realized he isn’t a replacement for Charlie who can’t be replaced. Also, I don't want to compare them to each other based on appearance. I need to experience the grief I am feeling for now, but I have made the decision to get another cat this year…..when I am ready.

Some Halloween crafts from Elementary Playcamp: Zombie babies from some years back. Made from tube socks - the kids loved these! Laughing ghosts from quart sized yogurt containers & vinyl sticker film. You wet the scrap of fabric and scrape it down the string attached to the bottom inside of the container, and it makes a really loud shrieking sound. I'm sure some adults may curse me for it, but it was another big hit with the kids 😀 P.S. If you use smaller cups it sounds like a chicken 🙂

Several colors. I gave my daughter a casserole carrier that my mother made quite a few years ago. My grandson said he thought it was a hat, so he modeled it for us.
