Honey Oak with what color granite?
Comments (9)It's funny that you phrase it as "matches better". In general when designing around wood-tone cabinets, many people are trying to create a contrast, picking a tone that's either noticably lighter or quite a bit darker than the cabinets. Honey-oak is very medium, so either light or dark could be a good option, and depending on the room you could either go warm browns (cream/chocolate) or cool grays (pale ash, dakr charcoal/black). But I'd think that tan-type colors (the mid-tones) wouldn't look so great....See MoreWhat is the best wall paint color for honey oak floors
Comments (14)Houzzers appreciate previous inputs! Viewed most suggestions. Front runner, still Balboa Mist. Talked hubby into considering a white-ish color for walls, provided there's contrast so ceiling trim stands out. Navy wall in dinning stays. Anyone done white-ish walls with oak floors? Looking for a the best white-ish color that will not pull yellow or beige tones....See Morewhat color countertop goes with honey oak cabinets?
Comments (6)We only had a few minutes to chat, but she said she probably could not afford granite. I don't know her budget yet either. I am going to suggest to her this site and also Pinterest to get some ideas. She's not a computer person so I wanted to take photos of ideas and show her. I'm not sure what options she can choose from besides a laminate. Maybe a silestone or something comparable would work for her....See MoreWhat color curtains go well with honey oak cabinets?
Comments (1)Your rooms and furnishings are all neutral enough from what I can see that you could do any number of colors/patterns - depends on what you like, or maybe what is in adjacent rooms. You could stick with curtains on the slider and coordinating or matching fabric valance over the sink, or do a blind on one or the other. Curtains are probable most cost effective, though, since you just did new roof and siding. I would probably look at places like Target, IKEA, JCP and Pottery Barn for ideas. Even HomeGoods carries lots of curtains, although their selection is more hit and miss....See MoreCheryl Hewitt
