I had it growing in my garden several years ago and it was one of my favorites. Between my being in zone 6B, and the deer ravaging my garden, I lost it. Now that I have a protective fence, I might try it again. As far as the cold - I could try giving it extra winter protection. It would be worth the try to me. When it bloomed in spring it was abundantly luscious. I think it was this rose that someone here had mass planting of in the front of his house, and he posted pictures. It literally stopped traffic. Maybe his pictures are still here? This would be 9 or 10 years ago.....? I'm not a photo searcher, so I can't advise on that.

I have two Easy Does It roses and while not quite as huge or bloomy as that picture they both bloom alot with no disease.

The range of color is so interesting.

I am in 6b (sometimes much closer to 5a) and have tried to grow it twice - neither time did it survive winter, even a winter that was unusually moderate.

I would try it again if I knew a better way to winter protect it. I love this rose.

I would be happy with your level of bloom. Each bloom is so fluffy and luxurious that it doesn't even need heavy bloom coverage. When it does have it, I can see how it can stop traffic.

I love your range of colors - it seems to show more coral-pink in your conditions. It goes from moderately bright orange to soft coral as it ages.

I hope my southern winters won't be a problem for it. My nemesis here is BS - and this gorgeous rose is defying it like no other. So hopeful with this one.

I would not want to be without this rose in my garden. It does reasonably well here, and considering our climate issues and random order seasons, doing reasonably well when many others do not do well is no small achievement. The color blend is quite nice, and repeat bloom is generally good. A bed or hedge of this all by itself would be an enjoyable eyeful, and really good oranges for here are hard to come by.

I do agree that Easy Does It has lovely blooms, but I also agree that it is not the most cold hardy of roses. I grew it about 10 years ago for several years. And even in zone 7, it had hardiness problems. One extra cold winter caused Easy Does It quite a bit of damage, and it never regained its vigor. I grew it a few more years, but removed it for roses that have pleased me more. Diane
