The bedding is charming! What color is the furniture in the room? Does the room tend to feel dark or light? Is the chair rail up yet, and if not are you sure you want it? The reason I ask is that the chair rail really has no purpose in bedroom unless you really want to divide the colors on the wall - and once you have the chair rail, you are sort of stuck with that two color thing as long as it is up. Are you sure about the Resolute Blue against the light blue of the bedding? At least in my fan deck, it reads with a definite green undertone. And you are right, Netsuke is very green.

There are some reall yfun lights for kids rooms and I would not do sconces in a childs room at all.The rug IMO is not a kids idea at all I would suggest you try to think like a child fun colors washable stuff I like the dresser not the rug and IMO he will be out of the crib in 6 months so think about a twin bed for the next years to grow into. I think boys love to climb so IMO a closet oraganizer for clothes is better than a dresser since the drawers make a great ladder. Boys have a way of figuring out trouble so think safety and fun. Remembert his is his room it does not have to be anthing that “goes with “ the rest of your home. As he ages this will be more and more his space .These are a couple of relly fun lights for the next 5 years or so. BTW a nice chair is always a good idea but the cover either needs to be leather or a slip cover that is washable . BTW ruugables makes great rugs for kids rooms .

Your options over the dresser are unlimited. Will there be a changing table pad set on the dresser? You could hang a baby quilt. Or a baby mobile. Or a picture - a BIG picture. (The one you have over the crib is just marginally big enough.) Hundreds of ideas on etsy.
