the walls are a white with a gray tint and the cabinets a medium gray . What color floor tile do you recommend?

The hardwood you hopefully have in an adjacent room, like the dining room. A nice medium deep brown

Thus must ask..................what IS the flooring in the rest of your home? Also, what are the counters?

If you throw out off whites that are yellow and red-based, you will be left with taupes, putties, and beiges. Tertiary off-whites. (assuming you don't want a blue or green based off white) Casey

Either leave them as they are, or use the White Dove color. If you try to paint them gray, they won't work with your floors, back splash, or wall color. White Dove will work without having to change anything else. Are you also planning to paint your window trim? You might consider just painting the uppers in White Dove if you're trying to lighten the space.

My trim and ceilings are SW Pure white. I have stained wood lowers and SW Pure white uppers. My walls are a very light gray though so that gives a bit more depth (Drift of Mist). In your case I would probably use SW alabaster on the cabinets as well unless you want the cabinets to look WHITE and the walls and trim to look creamy/slightly yellow. Personally I don't think I'd like the contrast.

Nobody asked for the full context. I did, as she wrote"my floor is ceramic beige and cream tones" Call it big trouble in "river city" .....from her private message. Wait until the op returns. Paint is the least of the issue right now. To others.......... When we prod and poke beyond your obvious question? We do it for a reason, and it isn't to annoy you. Ask FIRST before major investments in any partial refresh of anything. : ) but especially kitchens and baths.

Agreed - we need more info! Please add an image of the current wall and cabinet colors, and images of flooring in adjacent spaces. What type of floor are you removing?
