Not sure about messaging, but there have been a few problems lately with posts going missing, etc. I'm having a bit of a fume b/c I started a thread over an hour ago and it is still not showing up. Sorry, I'm not being a help, just venting.

It could be a problem on my end... I have an iMac and recently updated it. Ended up UN-updating. Now everything is messed up.

I've posted this on a couple of other 'what happened?' threads:

I've read that a couple of posters have received notice that the message
system is changing, and their old messages have disappeared. I still have
a list of old messages sent and received, so I could message someone by
using an older message. I checked about a dozen members' pages
yesterday and found none with the 'Message Me' button.

But houzz is on it (hahaha, lolol, not really, since this is the reply I received after contacting them about the issue).

Nope, doesn't work. I saw that. I can only reply to an OLD message already sent. No way to send one to anyone else.

Houzz hasn't a clue, with both hands and a roadmap.

It's fun to see what new goes wrong here every single day. ;)

I love the forum, I enjoy learning things and interacting with everyone - but the platform is a wonky mess and the staffing is apathetic at best.
