Best lighting fixtures and placement for master bathroom?

T

We are remodelling our master bathroom, and are stuck on the lighting scheme. We are planning on adding recessed lighting on two different sets of dimmers, but are debating if we should add a recessed light above each sink in the vanity (60in double sink) or use sconces. If we use sconces do we just put one in the middle of the mirrors an line the vanity up to the wall on the right (to the left of the vanity will be a free standing tup), or is it better to line up the vanity so there can be sconces on each side of both mirrors? Does adding sconces above the mirror still create shadows, etc. that recessed lighting can create? The last option would be to use mirrors with LED lights in them, but thinking about if I'll like that option in 5 years. Thoughts?

We don't really have the space for a chandelier to look right, and I am worried pendant lighting will become annoying after awhile. We are adding recessed lighting above the toilet and bathtub. The placement of any other recessed lighting will depend on what we do about vanity lighting.
