I think wallpaper would take away from the charm of the tile. I would change the paint color in the half bath to a white and be done.

I found this online and loved how funky it made the room look. I know it is not the same as what I am working with, but I would like to make the room fun and funky / art deco-y.

Could you post a photo of the floor in the bathroom in question? It seems to be an orange tile of some sort? My thought is that trying to marry all of these colors together in one wallpaper will be a problem.

I think it would be wonderful, and I love your spirit of fun and adventure when it comes to design! It would be really cool if you could find wallpaper that is true to the era of your home. Alternatively, taking it in a different direction and using something contemporary, bold, and very fresh might be cool as well. I'll look online for inspiration, but in the meantime, just wanted to say that I like your vision very much.

Tread lightly. This would go more smoothly if the tile was a solid yellow but the mottled green makes it busy on its own. That combined with matching the correct yellow will be tricky so you will need to send off for samples to insure your colors are working together. You may want to pull the green out by doing a paper that has no yellow in it and works with the green and black like this

or go solely black and white

If you want one that draws to the yellow more you need to think more in terms of subtle and less is more

All that said I think you need to address the Home Depot Special that is the sink and the mirror. I would urge you to replace the sink with a style in line with the era of the home. A pedestal sink and then up date the mirror. I am also curious, and it may be the angle of the photo , but it appears if you were sitting on the toilet your knees would hit the wall?

I might go for a William Morris-like print; something that is in keeping with the Art Deco/Art Nouveau look of your bath.

Looking up wallpaper, I came across green bathroom sets from the 1930s. But they did all kinds of metal dollhouse furniture (and other toys ... cars, trucks, etc).

How adorable are these?! Sorry to go O/T, I just wanted to share. Search ‘Tootsie Toy dollhouses’ and all kinds of good stuff comes up. :)

I too just went down a William Morris rabbit hole. The designs are lovely, and as I was thinking of something big and blowsy, they seem to fit. Getting the coloration just right will be a bit tricky, though ... I think I'm starting to agree with Design Interior South's suggestion to move towards darker (non-yellow) tones as a counterbalance. So many of the wallpapers from the 30s and 40s have a decidedly sweet (sometimes twee, but I don't mind) feel to them. Not sure if you're aiming for a true period look, or want to branch out in a more artistic way.

Hmmm. How do you feel about tigers? I actually love this design (Clarke & Clarke Tigris), but not sure it works for your space. Still ... grrrrrrrrrrrrrowl!

Here is the real version of your Tootsie toys Jinx! They even have the same flooring as the posters but in appropriate color to match the space. I am a bit hung up on the flooring color and tile combo. I am contemplating which was replaced along the way since they don't match. Why?

Be warned Spoonflower wallpaper isnt a straight match. You have to overlap it to get it to match. My wallpaper person , who has hung wallpaper for 34 years, told me he would never hang it again. His words were its cheap (&@*. Just throwing that out there before you go and fall in love with something which is easy to do on the site.

I am loving the vintage paper that Jinx found...the first one actually pulls in the black tile and the orange colored floor tile, along with the yellow and green. It is perfect! I would suggest replacing the sink with a Kohler Memoirs pedestal sink. Vintage looking. Jinx, that choice is brilliant!
