Help decorating and laying out furniture in a narrow row house

last modified: 3 years ago

Hello, I purchased a narrow semi-detached house in DC. The entrance door is located in the middle of the living room, and the living room itself is small and narrow. Any suggestions as to how I should lay out my furniture to create a tiny living room area? (no TV needed, it will go in the basement). And suggestions as to the size of couch I should get? Thanks!

These are the measures we took:

- The space beneath the right corner window right next to the door entrance is 64 inches.

- From the main entrance door to the kitchen island there are 12 ft and 105 inches.

- From the main entrance door to a door that leads to the deck and is next to the kitchen island there are 12ft and 88 inches.

- Between the wall to the right and the staircase there are 138 inches.
