How do I delete and deactivate my facebook account?

All the instructions I have found say to click the far right hand corner, click on settings, click on Your Facebook Information in the left column, click on deactivate and delete.

However, when I click on settings, there is no Your Facebook Information in the left column. What is there is You and Google, Autofill, etc. What am I doing wrong that I don't get Your Facebook Information?

When I go to https://www.facebook.com/settings I see this:

I don't know why you're seeing something different.

If they are using the app it's on the right. Mary
1. Open the Facebook app.
2. Tap the three lines towards the right of the top navigation bar.
3. Scroll down and tap Settings & Privacy
4. Tap Settings from the expanded menu.
5. Scroll down and tap Account Ownership and Control.

I have already been deactivated, but I don't use it and would like to be sure it is removed from their listings or whatever they do with it. Jodi, I tried that, but it is still showing just the very tops of the letters in that row. I tried clicking on those bits of the letters, but it is just not enough to make the connection.

How Do I UN-Friend Someone on Facebook?

When you are logged in, at the top of the screen it will say Home - Profile - Friends - Inbox You will want to click on friends. It will take you to another page and on the left of the screen there will be a list of options. The top one is called All Connections. Click on that. Then a list of all of your current friends will show up and at the right of each name there will be an x. Just click that little x next to her name and she should be UN-friended. :) Hope you have been doing well. :) Have a great night!!

From a google search: Email Facebook directly at privacy@facebook.com and request them to delete your account. Wait to get an email response from Facebook confirming that your account has been permanently deleted. This should take a few days. If you don't hear back from Facebook within a week, email them again at privacy@facebook.com, as well as support@facebook.com and info@facebook.com.

Click 'Your Houzz' Select 'Edit Profile and Settings' Select 'Privacy Settings'. Click 'Delete my Houzz account' at the bottom of the page.
