Polygala paucifolia, common names: Fringed Milkwort, Gaywings. We saw a colony of hundreds of these wildflowers last spring. All of them had their beautiful 'wings' unfurled as in the first pic. All except one -- doesn't it look surprised? or did someone just threaten it, "hands up or I'll shoot!"? makes me lol.

My thought for a theme for pictures was what about taking a picture and connecting it to music that you link for the picture you take and submit. Not sure how it would work but it is just a thought.
