I don't know what you mean by paint with Kilz in it, but you don't need to do that. A primer and 2 coats of finish is the correct process though. The primer should be oil based to take care of the tannin bleed. For exterior cedar I may actually opt for Sikkens Rubbol Dek which is oil based and self priming so you can skip the primer step. I believe that the Sikkens would hold up longer outside than any acrylic product you can find. In my opinion, satin is the highest sheen you would want to use outside but that is a personal preference thing so you may want to step up to semi-gloss depending on how shiny you would like it. There is probably no reason to choose a gloss or high gloss finish though.

You need the plastic glass spacers to keep the glass safely on the base. Place a large enough plant or blown glass centerpiece on the table to divert your attention. As for your rug, any of the grey, orange, blue or white rugs could be successful options to work with your existing rug. All shown are from Overstock. Of course a solid rug is also a given. If you simply want wall hung and would like drawers, look at wall hung vanities like these at DecorPlanet. I am not saying that these are good quality or not, just wanting you to see them for their style. You can have a wall-hung, minimalist vanity with drawers in it. You can search for wall-hung and modern vanities with the size you need at build.com, Qualitybath.com, and Wayfair, too. Duravit and Nameeks are two European companies that also do wall-hung vanities and counter-sinks.

I understand you really want a swing. Maybe a better option would be have poles mounted in your yard, and a swing mounted there with a canopy. Your porch does not look like it is built to have a swing. It is too narrow. If you turned it around, you would hit the wall, and the railing. The way you have it now, isnt wide enough either. Sometimes, we just do not get everything the way we want it in a house, so we have to compromise and settle for something different. On your porch, just put a glider, or some rocking type chairs, and a couple of side tables, and then you will have two places to enjoy.
