Does anyone know what type of kitchen cabinet hinge this is?

Hi. We rent a very old home and 2 kitchen cabinet doors need the hinges replaced. They are very old cabinets and none of the big box stores carry these hinges or could offer any help. Does anyone n ow what type or model these could be. These is an A stamped on them and an R for right. On each plate there are different numbers. 1272 and 1273. I looked up these model numbers and it could be Amerock. I can’t find a hinge that looks exactly like this. Attached are pictures of the cabinets and the hinges. Thanks for you help.

Pivot hinge. The hinge in the link is similar, not exact. Try searching for pivot hinges.

I replaced some of these for a relative with a 50s-60s era house. I had to get NOS vintage ones off of ebay. There was a Stanley that matched theirs. I don't have the number on me but you might keep in mind that Stanley made them too.

I don't know of one other than what might be in some magazines (like BH&G, maybe?). But wouldn't that be great? So many of us here on this forum have done precisely what you've done, made a silk purse out of a sow's ear, and based on the gorgeous kitchens I've seen here, GW would have a corner on the winners! It does have a Heywood Wakefield feel to it but their stuff was widely replicated in the 1950's. I have a piece in the same blonde wood - I have no idea what mine was used for originally as the top is split in the middle and when you open it, there are little partitions that fold into each other. I use mine to store jewelry but I sometimes think mine might have been a sewing thing which the lady of her house kept at the side of her chair. The interior with the grooves for adjusting the shelving is nice. I don't think it was sold as anything specific at the time - could be an end table. It could even have held a HiFi :-).

Every color is different depending on the natural light and artificial light. Paint poster-board, edge to edge, leaving no white border so that you can move the board freely and see how your light affects it.

Stain color and wood species are two different things. Walnut is a dark wood that turns a brown/honey color When you chose a wood and stain see them in person. This is why people have this idea in their head and order red oak with walnut stain and are unhappy with the outcome. Best to choose a wood close to the actual color and grain that you want vs staining a cheap piece of wood to look like it. Problem is today cheap wood with heavy stain is considered what it should look like.

Did you ever find a hinge? I have the same ones and they need to be replaced.

So after a lot of research and talking with quite a few cabinet shops. The consensus is that Amerock made a lot of different OEM hinges. This is one of those and there really isn't any stock to be found. The best replacement is the Youngsdale #3 hinge. I have the hinges in the photo and it fit perfectly. Hope this helps someone.

For anyone searching, it's Youngdale, not Youngsdale.
