Tell me about La Paz...
Comments (51)I think that the tan pedicles somehow have been "introduced" into H. La Paz as it appears from photos posted by Maria, Fishingdentist, and KAVB that the blooms of H.Tango are much more red with much less green. My Tango scape and bud are much more red, whereas those of H. La Paz were more pink. For a long while, because of the pedicel color, many of us (myself very included) thought that the 2 hybrids had very similar blooms with the tan pedicles being a differentiating feature, and erroneously credited to H. Tango. Perhaps we should be posting photos of more H. Tango blooms to reveal the real differences in the customers' hands. I am no longer convinced that they are nearly identical. Comments (50)A few induction tips: (Love my Induction-- user for 8+ years) Cleaning takes only a few minutes! I cut up old, soft towels to clean the top. Dampen a clean one with hot water and use a drop of Dawn or Joy; rub the cooktop with the soapy-side then flip the rag to just-the-wet side and wipe off the soap. Buff with a clean, dry towel-rag. (I have the stainless steel top and bottom edge--cleaning them this way is no problem.) ONLY USE A CLEAN RAG (sponge, paper towel) EACH TIME for washing or drying the top! I am concerned about thermal-shock to the glass. Get a nice, thick, silicone trivet/potholder and put it on a corner of your cooktop. A great place to move hot pots and pans to or to place pans, safely, from the oven. Learn NOT TO shake pans! (PS - I have used paper towels under pots. They can get scorched. And the one kind seemed to leave a trace of its waffle-pattern that I had to buff out with the cook-top crème. I now just try to use a bigger pot for things prone to bubbling over -- oil, oatmeal, etc.)...See MoreInduction cookware review: long post

Comments (2)me again... just found a really good deal on surlatable. Its on the Riedel stemless wine glasses. My DH loves to drink his wine this way. They have a set of 8 for $58.80, then take 20% off so that is $47.04. So I did a quick check on the internet to see if I could do better, and lo and behold I can. Amazon has a pair for $19.60 and they are eligible for their buy 4, pay for 3 promotion, and since shipping is free, it is a couple bucks less through amazon! (shipping is 11.50 through surlatable... would be nice if they offered free shipping if you spend $100 or something along those lines). Either way, thought if there are other wine drinkers out there, this makes a very nice Christmas present (it is what DH will be getting!!)...See More
