Ken, my neighbor bought it and planted it there, it is just spreading under the fence. I have mowed it down before. Here are shots from her side of the fence. Thanks so much for the responses. Paul and kisher, Wide Brim wihtout a doubt after you giving me some direction to look and going to Hosta Library. Also no doubt about August Moon. Steve I think you are going to be on the money with Royal Standard and was my first thought. But I'm no good at the ID game and rely on all of you. I will decide for sure after flowering. Beth- At the HL, click on a letter of the alphabet, then scroll up and down to find the hosta you are looking for, then click on it. Tah Dah! You will see photos submitted by hundreds of people over the years. At the top of the page of the specific hosta you select, will be a link to more info collected from several sources at MyHostas.net. Database. There is also the American Hosta Society Registry, which is searchable, to find the official registration info on a hosta. -Babka

I agree with all the comments above. When I got my Stained Glass hosta from Lowes 3 years ago, it looked just like this plant. The leaves were small and more elongated than the broad, nearly heart-shaped, slightly domed leaves of the mature plant. Home Depot and Lowes tend to sell HOTY plants, so Stained Glass, Paradigm, Brother Stefan, and Rainforest Sunrise are all of the gold centered of those (I think). Time will tell, but the leaves seem too smooth for Brother Stefan or Rainforest Sunrise. All but RS are medium to large plants (3ft wide by 18 inches tall for me) in 7B. RE the problem of name tags, Ken is right. Also, the customers sometimes pull and read a tag, and then stick the tag in whatever plant.
