Something to think about.
Comments (3)I've often considered planting some currents but they sounded to good to be true (like Bush Cherries did, I yanked these after 3 years). But we do like to make jams so currents may make a good addition to our strawberry, fig, peach, and blueberry recipes. The anti-oxidant content alone makes them desirable. Comments (3)I doubt it too with commercial mulch and their composted temperatures. I am concerned that another vector for this disease might be aphids as they mimic the mites in terms of their sucking parts of the sap. Currently from what I understand, there is not enough research money or someone setting up a scientific study to determine if aphids are another vector of this disease....See MoreSomething to think about.
Comments (3)I struggle with that too, especially since my trees are in my house... and my grow lights put out a lot of heat. My living room is routinely around 80*F even after venting the waste heat via ducting to my furnace/housefan intake. We basically have two options: 1. Lower temperatures, or 2. Greatly increase lighting. I went with option two. My trees are flushing with new foliage now (with some flowering). Fortunately, most of the fruit development happens over the summer, and we can use the sun for that! -Tom...See MoreSomething to think about

My hospital just canceled all elective cases for the next 2.5 weeks, following the lead of our larger hospital affiliate. I can now quarantine, unless I get called in to manage a critically ill patient that needs airway support, at which point I will be in full PPE. That will be a huge risk to me, but I intend to take all measures to keep myself and the people I come in contact with safe....See MoreRusty
