Please help with ideas for pandemic wedding!

My dear nephew and his lovely fiancee were to have their wedding at the end of this month, but then came the pandemic. Now they are going ahead with the ceremony at City Hall soon, and postponing the reception gathering until this time next year (fingers crossed!). So, the important bit of getting married will still be happening, and the fun party aspect will be just as nice whenever it can occur.

BUT. It will be a sad ceremony without anyone, even the parents of either, being able/willing to attend and wish them joy in person. I am looking for any ideas that could make this occasion happier and meaningful for them. Something festive and hopefully easy to plan and execute from another state away (groom's parents).

The bride-to-be became an American citizen two years ago. She originates from Belarus, and her immediate family is there. They would have come over for the wedding if the virus had not reared its ugly head, but now, of course, they cannot. AND her mother was recently diagnosed with COVID19, and is recovering, but that is just another worry and sorrow for her at this time...

Any suggestions welcomed. Thank you!
