Comments (23)I would have guessed Opuntia cacanapa 'Ellisiana' for the cactus without reading the article. It is a very unique looking cactus, even for a prickly pear. It is spineless for most part, but can have some glochids. This varies though. One I saw in Tulsa had very few glochids. A very 'friendly' prickly pear and one I wouldn't mind messing with. The ground cover is more difficult to ID from this distance. Why don't you ask the landscaper who designed it....Daniel Nolan? https://www.danielnolandesign.com/ From this distance it could be Juniper, Dalea greggii, Leucophyllum candidum, or any number of trailing silver-foliaged plants....See MoreHelp with plant ID?

In spring it gets these magnificent chains of white flowers, then the leaves falls off, and grow right back and there is another season of chains of white flowers. Very weird but also very cool. The first one we ever saw was at Selby Gardens....See MoreJ Williams
